I am always looking for new hair care products to try and review. Keeping my hair manageable and healthy is a must. It was time for a much-needed protein treatment. The telltale sign for me on when it’s time to do a protein treatment is when my hair feels soft, mushy and breaks.
While I normally use is the Aphogee 2 step system, however, due to my local Sally’s Beauty Supply being closed I went to my local Wal Mart to the hair care section. With many options to choose from, I finally decided to try the Hi Pro Pac Extremely Damaged Hair Repair Intense Protein Treatment.
Product Claims
The Hi Pac Protein Treatment claims that it treats & corrects excessively damaged hair. This protein treatment has concentrated proteins to fortify the hair. The treatment improves strength, prevents split ends and breakage. The protein treatment also detangles and improves manageability. Safe for all hair types
Cost
The Hi Pro Pac intense Protein Treatment was very cost effective and purse friendly. I paid under $2.00 for the product, which for me was fabuless!!!
Packaging
The Hi Pro Pac Intense Protein Treatment product comes in a rectangular pouch. The packaging has easy to read labeling. The gold writing was what drew my attention at first. You have to tear the product at the corner, however I used scissors to open the pouch due to it being difficult to tear open.
How to Use
The packaging states to apply the Hi Pro Pac treatment to wet hair and massage evenly through the hair and down the hair shaft. Leave on hair 2-5 minutes and rinse thoroughly. It took me over 10 minutes to distribute product through my hair evenly. I left on for approx. 30 mins under a plastic cap.
My Thoughts
My overall thoughts of the Hi Pro Pac Protein Treatment was that it did get the job done. The product was thick and creamy, and it was easy to glide through my hair. The protein treatment made detangling a breeze. My hair felt stronger after the rinse out of the product. I had fewer breaks of my strands.
However, there were two drawbacks. The first was the smell. The product had an overbearing scent that smelled like medicine. The second drawback was one pouch was almost not enough for my hair. I had to stretch it pretty close to make sure the product was able to distribute evenly through my hair.
